Faith Diary 2021

HMD 2021Holocaust Memorial Day on Wednesday January 27th at 10:30am

Due to current lockdown rules, instead of gathering at the Guildhall in Worcester as it has been our tradition, this year’s event will be premiered online to ensure everyone’s safety. The link to see the event live on the 27th will be available a couple of days beforehand. The event will be available for a few days after the main broadcast.

Our guest speaker this year will be Petr Torak MBE who will talk about ‘Roma Genocide during WWII- history of GRT persecution with lessons for today’.

Worcestershire Inter Faith forum is joined in putting this event together by Worcester City Council, University of Worcester and Platform Housing Group and local schools in reflecting on this year’s theme of ‘Be the Light in the Darkness’.

We promote and support Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) – to remember the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, alongside the millions of other people killed under Nazi Persecution and in genocides that followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
